The 4th of July is a great time to get together to enjoy festive American dishes with friends and family. But between the BBQ, drinks, and fireworks, how does a tasty, sugary treat sound? This year, try this easy fruit pizza recipe! It’ll make everyone’s taste buds smile, and it’s a cute table centerpiece. Of course, it also doesn’t hurt that you can source some of the ingredients right from your Oklahoma garden, which our Working Partners love!

So, let’s gets started. First, make a list and hit your local grocery store! You can also take a stroll outside to your own garden as well. You’re going to need the following items to get baking:

Ingredients

  • 16.5 oz. tube of refrigerated sugar cookie dough. Yum!
  • 8 oz. softened cream cheese
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 12 oz. fresh raspberries (3-4 cups)
  • 1 dry pint fresh blueberries (about 2 cups)

Pizza crust

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
  • Cut 1/4 inch slices from the cookie dough
  • Place on a lightly greased 12 inch pizza pan and press down into an even layer
  • Bake for 11-12 minute or until it is lightly browned; allow to cool

Toppings

  • Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla together until smooth
  • Add and beat in half of the whipped topping to the mixture
  • Fold in the remaining whipped topping
  • Spread on to the pizza crust
  • Use blueberries to outline the pizza and blue portion of the flag
  • Use raspberries to create the 7 red lines of the flag
  • Use the remaining spread for the white lines of the flag
  • Keep refrigerated until ready to serve
