Japanese Antique Makie Flower Vase Wood with Gold little bird and tree leaves
This Ikebana vase is made of wood and has lacquered leaves and a bird decorating the front. The lacquer work is done in the Makie style with gold mixed in with the lacquer. The bird and leaves are in slight relief. The vase is made of one piece of wood with the growth rings visible on top. A copper insert is included.
